Cielo Linked prioritizes the use of energy-efficient options, like mini-splits, and minimizes the use of fossil fuel-based systems. 

Here's how you can create a link to turn off the furnace and switch to your mini-split, optimizing energy usage. 

You will need a Cielo Smart Thermostat Eco connected to your furnace and a Cielo Breez Max connected to a mini-split. 

Step 1: Open the Cielo Home app. Tap "Menu" on the home screen, then tap "Cielo Linked".

Step 2: Tap the "+" icon and then select "Select a source." 

Step 3: Select "Outdoor temperature" as the trigger and tap "Next".

Step 4: Select "Goes above" and set your preferred temperature. Tap "Next".

Step 5: Tap on "Select the device".

Step 6: Select Breez Max Bedroom, tap "Next", then "Change settings".

Step 7: Set the "AC State" to "Power On". Apply your preferred AC settings (Mode, temperature, fan, and swing settings). Tap "Next". 

Step 8: Tap "+".

Step 9: Select "Home" Thermostat and tap "Next". 

Step 10: Then tap "Change Preset" and select "Away", and then tap "Next".

Step 11: Now tap on "Create Link".

Helpful Tip: You can also create a link to switch to the furnace and turn off the mini-split when the outdoor temperature falls below freezing. This is because the heating capacity of a mini-split decreases in extremely cold climate conditions. This temperature may vary depending on the type of mini-split you have. Refer to your mini-split user manual for specific information on the minimum outdoor temperature at which your unit can operate.
