Below is a quick step-by-step guide to set up a link that automatically turns off your mini-split (or adjusts its setting) when your central HVAC system is heating/cooling.

Setting Up a Link

Step 1: Open the Cielo Home app. Tap on ‘Menu’ on the home screen and then tap ‘Cielo Linked'.

Step 2: Tap on the ‘+’ icon.

Step 3: Tap on ‘Select a source’. 

Step 4:  Select ‘Home’ (Thermostat is named Home in this example). 

Step 5: Select ‘HVAC Equipment State’ as a trigger. 

Step 6: Choose Heat or Cool depending on your requirement. Tap ‘Next’. 

Step 7: Select your action device, which will be your Cielo Breez Max device paired with your mini-split. Tap ‘Next’. 

Step 8: Tap on 'Change Settings'.

Step 9: Tap on 'Custom Settings'. Choose the desired action for your mini-split when the central HVAC is heating/cooling - either switch off power or adjust settings (e.g., increase/decrease temperature).

Step 10: Tap on ‘Create Link’. 

Once the link is created, your mini-splits will respond automatically to your central system’s heating/cooling state, ensuring more efficient energy use.
