A multi-zone mini-split system is a type of ductless heating and cooling system that allows you to independently control the temperature in multiple rooms or zones. You can set different temperatures for each mini-split, but the operating mode must be the same across all units. You cannot run some units in heating and others in cooling at the same time, as all indoor units share the same outdoor unit and refrigerant flow.
